Stir Fry Sengkuang with Glass Noodle

Another way to cook sengkuang a.k.a yam bean is by stir-frying them. Mummy used to cook this dish when we were small. She always cooked the sengkuang with glass noodles (tang hoon). So ladies and gentlemen, let me present to you what I used to eat when I was small:

This dish can be eaten on its own too.. Slurp...

Ingredients

400g sengkuang, shredded
60g glass noodles, soaked
2 tbsp dried shrimps, chopped
1 tbsp garlic, chopped
1/2 tbsp light soya sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
salt to taste

Methods

  1. Saute garlic and dried shrimps till fragrant.
  2. Add in sengkuang, glass noodles and seasoning. Stir fry until well combined and aromatic.
  3. Remove from wok and serve hot.
