Stir Fried Siew Yoke and Chives with Noodles

Friday, September 4, 2009

This is another porky post for this week coz Mum have given me a large amount of Siew Yoke (roast pork) to bring back to KL. It gives a good opportunity to try a few types of recipes that uses Siew Yoke. So here's another dish that I had cooked using this sinful and tasty meat. And YES, I am indeed a carnivore person as mentioned by my friends. I love MEAT! So I don't really mind having a few more rounds of this. :)

Ingredients

80g egg noodles
100g Siew Yoke (roast pork)
40g chives, cut 1 inch length wise
1 carrot, shredded
1 tbsp garlic, chopped
1/2 cup chicken stock
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt

Methods
  1. Boil a pot of water. Place in noodles and blanch till soften. Dish out and rinse with cold water. Remove from cold water. Strain away excessive water and set aside.
  2. Heat up oil in wok. Saute chopped garlic until fragrant. Put in Siew Yoke to stir-fry together.
  3. Add in chives and carrot and noodles. Stir-fry lightly. Mix in seasoning and stir together until fragrant. Dish up and serve.
